About kester.dk »

I have  travelled in more than 65 countries. Cultural and religious differences fascinate me.

According to mosttraveledpeople.com
I am the 2nd most travelled woman in Denmark.

Accompanied by my trusty wheelchairover the past many years, I have a huge amount of experience in travelling abroad.

In recent years I have begun to give talks and provide advisory services. By doing so I am contributing to public enlightenment and helping my fellow disabled to set out on a journey abroad.

A trip abroad is something that most people take for granted nowadays. However, certain barriers must first be overcome if one is disabled.

In my experience, most problems can be overcome.

The disabled shouldn't allow themselves to be curtailed

One can live one's life in a large number of ways. It is up to you which you choose – even if you have a disability.

My name is Kirsten K. Kester, I was born with a physical handicap. I am a globetrotter and I really like my wheelchair.

By providing advisory services and giving talks I can help you act out your travel dreams.

If you would like to embark on a journey abroad and if you are disabled and unsure as to whether or not you are up to travelling – feel free to contact me, as a rule there is a solution to every hurdle.

I became a member of the Travellers Guild Denmark (De Berejstes Klub, DBK) in 2008.

In 2009 I received the Egholm prize from The Travellers Guild Denmark.  The Egholm prize is bestowed for disseminating wanderlust  and spreading knowledge on travel-life, foreign countries and cultures.

Disabled drivers in Denmark               October 8th 2010

Approximately 20 members spent a couple of hours in the interesting and informative company of Kirsten and her husband Dieter.
Kirsten provided a particularly vivid account of the many unique experiences they have accumulated during the course of their numerous travels these past 20 years. A great evening was had by all.
